Of which, phones of all kinds and components; computers, electronic products and components&#8230; have quite high turnover.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>According to statistics from the General Department of Vietnam Customs, in the first 8 months of 2017, two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and Australia reached nearly 4.1 billion USD (up 21% compared to the first 8 months of 2016), of which Vietnam&#8217;s exports to Australia reached more than 2.1 billion USD, up 14.9%. Meanwhile, Vietnam&#8217;s import turnover from Australia reached more than 2 billion USD, up 31% over the same period in 2016.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>According to the General Department of Customs, in recent times, the export turnover to Australia has had a large contribution from all kinds of phones and components (equal to 22% of total export turnover); computers, electronic products and components (equal to 11% of total export turnover) and all kinds of footwear (equal to 7% of total export turnover).<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In addition, cameras, camcorders and components have had outstanding export growth, with export turnover of these items in the first 8 months of 2017 increasing by more than 240% compared to the same period in 2016.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div>In addition, some items had quite good growth rates such as: iron and steel of all kinds (up 160%); means of transport and spare parts (up 154%); toys, sports equipment and parts (up 62%); chemical products (up 57%)&#8230;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Meanwhile, Vietnam&#8217;s import turnover from Australia in the first 8 months of 2017 increased by about 484 million USD (equivalent to 31%) compared to the same period last year, in which the most significant import items were other base metals (accounting for 21% of total import turnover); coal and wheat (both accounting for 15% of total import turnover).<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Products serving production also had significant increases in turnover such as scrap iron and steel (up 175%);
