The Quang Tri Provincial Agricultural Extension Center has just implemented an organic rice production model using the cluster sowing method combined with fertilization, linking the consumption of products in the 2024-2025 winter-spring crop. The model aims to transfer new technical advances, develop mechanization in production stages, especially the sowing and transplanting stage. The model was implemented in the field of Phu Ang Cooperative (Trieu Giang commune, Trieu Phong district) with an area of 6 hectares, using HC95 rice variety, with 15 participating households. To implement the model, the Quang Tri Agricultural Extension Center coordinated with the locality to select contiguous production areas and contiguous plots. Participating in the model, households are supported by the Quang Tri Agricultural Extension Center with 50% of fertilizer materials. Using a cluster seeder combined with fertilizing in rice production helps change the traditional method of spreading and sowing rice, the rice fields have appropriate density, creating conditions for healthy rice growth, good photosynthesis, strong tillering, long panicles.

Mr. Pham Xuan Hanh – Director of Phu Ang Cooperative said that people participating in the model are very excited because it reduces labor, the efficiency of fertilizing is very good because the fertilizer is buried deep, reducing loss.
